Would you like a Mentor Buddy?

Will you be joining Brunel University?

Welcome to Brunel University London

Starting a new University is an exciting and promising new step, but it can also be a daunting experience. If you are worried about finding your way around and adapting to your new life-changing chapter, sign up to be matched with one of our dedicated and inspirational Brunel Mentor Buddy.

The primary role of your Mentor Buddy is to help you to settle into Brunel University, navigate you through your course and academic queries such as ‘how do I submit my assignment?’ and signpost you to Brunel student services and support programmes that you may need now or in the future. They will also share their experiences with you and offer peer advice on how to make the most of your time at Brunel.

To be considered, you must complete the sign-up form, once you have been accepted to enrol at Brunel, you will be matched with a trained student mentor (an existing Brunel student) who will be on hand during your first term and will help you navigate through your new university journey and ensure that you have a positive start.

Once you have been successfully matched with a Mentor Buddy, before the beginning of term, you will be emailed your Mentor Buddy’s details and information on how to organise meetings (we will facilitate the first few meetings to ensure that the match is perfect). Your Mentor Buddy will support you from September through to December or January through to March depending on your start date.

Please note due to the number of students that apply, despite our best efforts, we cannot guarantee that you will be matched with a Mentor Buddy. In the case that you do not have a suitable match, you will be placed on a waiting list.

Tell us about yourself

The Brunel Volunteers Team will endeavour to match you with a Buddy according to your specified preference (course, gender or mature student). However due to Brunel Buddy availability this cannot be guaranteed.
